President and Provost's Leadership Council on Inclusive Excellence

The President and Provost’s Leadership Council for Inclusive Excellence (PPLC) is a university-level advisory group whose mission is to support the advancement of Oregon State University’s highest aspirations for inclusive excellence.

The activities of the PPLC directly advance and support the university’s strategic plan and the university’s diversity action plan.

President Jayathi Y. Murthy and Provost and Executive Vice President Edward Feser serve as the PPLC’s executive sponsors. Scott Vignos, vice president and chief diversity officer, chairs the PPLC, and the Office of Institutional Diversity provides support and coordination for its activities.
Charge

DURING ITS 2024-2025 TERM, THE PPLC WILL:

  • Develop a university strategy to guide implementation of the Diversity Action Plan in coordination with the implementation of Prosperity Widely Shared;
  • Engage Prosperity Widely Shared domain teams and academic and administrative units to implement Diversity Action Plan tactics and initiatives;
  • Identify and analyze best practices and barriers related to implementation of Diversity Action Plan and recommend strategies to amplify best practices and address barriers;
  • Complete implementation of priority actions from the Employee of Color Retention and Success Strategy adopted by the PPLC during its 2023-24 term;
  • Provide advice and counsel to the Office of Institutional Diversity regarding strategic alignment of inclusive excellence efforts at OSU;
  • Engage the president and provost on a periodic basis to provide progress updates; and
  • Publish a report summarizing the work of the PPLC, any recommendations and progress made on the university’s diversity, equity and inclusion goals.
