Highlighting and celebrating the research at OSU promoting diversity, equity and inclusion

We believe that research and scholarship can contribute to a more equitable and sustainable future. The 2023 Diversity Research Reception resulted in over 60 publication submissions, on topics related to equity or a broader societal impact that works towards a more just future.

We welcomed submissions from researchers who have published peer-reviewed articles, books, or book chapters within the last 12 months (July 2022-June 2023).

About the Reception

Hosted by the Office of Institutional Diversity and the Research Office, the Diversity Research Reception is an opportunity to recognize, celebrate and highlight the important research and researchers that have advanced inclusive excellence and equity at OSU, and beyond.

The 2023 program featured lightning talks, short remarks and an opportunity to connect with colleagues across the university, and remarks from Scott Vignos, vice president and chief diversity officer, and Irem Tumer, vice president for research.

Goals of the Reception

The Diversity Research Reception aims to recognize and celebrate OSU researchers who are promoting inclusive excellence through their research and publications, and highlight OSU's commitment to advancing inclusive excellence across its research and innovation missions.

We hope that this reception will also serve as a forum for sharing ideas, making connections, and building collaborations to further research and collaborations on issues related to equity and justice.
