Oregon State University is committed to creating and sustaining equitable and inclusive living, working and learning environments. One way the university advances this commitment is through regular assessment of university climate for students and employees.

The 2022 Faculty and Staff Community Climate Survey is now closed. A report on survey themes and related actions will be shared broadly in the fall

Faculty and Staff Community Climate Survey

The Faculty and Staff Community Climate Survey, started in 2014, is administered every two years to gauge the opinions and perceptions of faculty and staff regarding their experience at OSU.

The survey is anonymous meaning no personal information will be tied to survey responses.

The 2022 survey is now closed. Invitations to participate in the survey were communicated directly to university employees in May. Insights from the survey will be shared with the university community in fall 2022.

Student Inclusivity Survey

Oregon State University distributed the first Student Inclusivity Survey in Spring 2015. Students and representatives from various academic departments, the graduate school, and student affairs departments collaborated to create a student survey to inform OSU's understanding of inclusivity.

The content of this survey is intentionally nimble to inform emerging concerns. It takes place every two years and with focus groups  conducted in off years to dig deeper into student experience.

The next Student Community Climate Assessment will take place in 2023.
